Thanks for stopping by! A quick introduction is in order. I’m Dr. Mo the Shirt Guy, also known as @shirtdoc and @theshirtdoc across various platforms. I’ve been in the Print on Demand (POD) business for over 3 years, selling t-shirts, mugs, hats, bags, stickers, masks, and more. I primary use turnkey print on demand, which is my invented term for POD sites that handle everything but the initial design upload.
The sites I use most are Teepublic and Redbubble. Between these stores I have over 1000 unique designs, and earn betwee $500 and $5000 per month, depending on the time of year and whether I happen to have a viral design at the moment.
I became Dr. Mo the Shirt Guy to share the experiences I’ve gained over years of trial-and-error learning in print on demand, plus other various side hustle lessons I’ve learned throughout the years. You’ll find lots of content here with tips about getting started, design principles, search engine optimization (SEO), promotion, and more.
One thing you won’t find are links to my actual stores. I know right off the bat that I take a credibility hit through that choice, and I promise to do everything I can to win your trust with sound advice. Unfortunately, digital designs are exceedingly easy to steal, and past experience has taught me that using my own designs in my lessons and examples keeps feeding the bad guy.
I’ll add that while I have a successful store, I have no idea what I’m doing with blogging and advice-centric social media. Stick around as I figure out this whole new side hustle, and hopefully you’ll learn something along the way!
